Why not ask Santa for a turbo trainer? You hook the back wheel of your bike up to this little beauty and away you go. Ride as long as you want in the warm and dry. Put it infront of the TV and get fit whilst you watch the Corrie omnibus. (That's you Matt, that is)
The only down side is Turbo's can be noisy and expensive. A really good alternative is a set of warm up rollers. For those who have good balance, you can have a set with three rollers. The front roller is driven by a band from the rear roller, so it spins your front wheel to keep you balanced. If like me,you find that a bit too much of a challenge, try a set of traditional warm up rollers. Your front wheel is removed and you clamp your forks into the roller frame. Back wheel sits on two rollers. Then off you go.
