Well, come on, out with it!! Tell us what you thought of the Amsterdame09 event. The highs, the lows, the good, the bad.

What would you change about the organisation of the event, the places we stayed, the food options on the ferry, the route, the ride guides, was the day off useful or would you have just prefered to come straight back, what about the online tracking - did your family / friends use it or was it just used by the guys in the support cars??!

We want to know what it is that we can do to improve. We're happy for you to display it here for the world to see. Riders thinking about signing up for events often come and look around here and find your postings very useful, so come on!!! Spill the beans ladies!!

Cheers

It was AMAZING and without a doubt the hardest challenge I have ever set myself! Although we were split into three teams the camaradery between the 3 teams was awesome, everybody supported each other and the honky horns and the woohoos for each team on arrival/departure were ace! I miss you all!! I don't think there is anything I would change, although a bit more sleep wouldn't have gone a miss! Maybe I need to party less and get to bed earlier! We even had perfect weather - how lucky were we!

Craz - you are amazing for arranging these events, a very special guy - thank you. All the ride guides are supportive, entertaining and brill and I couldn't have done it without your care and support. To Mitch and Simon in the support cars, it was always great seeing you guys at our various stops. I personally could not have done this if I had to carry all my 'stuff' so thank you.

The ferry was fun, the food great and the entertainment hilarious, although it wasn't meant to be! I haven't stayed in a hostel before and I was impressed! Our room seemed so spacious after our cabin, my roomies and I had a good laugh and lots of girly chats and fun!

Holland is a truly beautiful country, the miles just flew by! One of my memorable moments was back in the UK riding up a long long hill (I dont do hills!), I was doing a speedy 4mph with a great big artic lorry sat just behind me, he could have overtaken me but he chose to sit there, I hope he wasn't laughing but I got the feeling he was willing me up the hill - I was literally hanging over my handle bars - I did give him a wave at the top to say thank you because I think I would have got off and walked if he hadn't been there! Support comes from everywhere, the people around you, the passers by, friends sending texts - it's brill.

I would say to anybody reading this and thinking about doing it, go for it! It's a fantastic adventure with fantastic people, raising money for very worthwhile charities. It makes you feel good and you will meet some very inspiring people and come away with new friendships. I also found a strength and determination in me which I didnt know I had.

Thank you so much to each and everyone of Team Amsterdame09. xx

Just a very quick reply to say my colleagues loved the satellite tracking. They'd worked out we'd stopped for lunch at a pub in Market Weighton as they could zoom in so far! Definitely keep it for future rides.
