Why not come down to The Knavesmire race course at YORK on the weekend of 21st & 22nd June 08 to the Cyclists Touring Club annual rally.

Charity Adventure are manning a stand, come and see us in the flesh. A robust constitution is required.

As well as us ( like you need any more) there are numerous trade stands selling discounted cycling goodies, Saddle bag sale, like a boot sale but hey it's a bike show. Riding displays, test rides, food stalls.

Camping is available on Friday and saturday night.

York rally Information line; 0870 873 0066 or Google CTC york rally

see you there.

Hi Andy

Hope to see you there and the rest of the crew, I occasionally bump into Gaz on the train from time to time.

I'm down to do the Ron Kitching Ride on the Saturday so will look for the stand afterwards.

Jon

PS By the way in case you've forgotten I did the C2C with ypu last year on the Orange P7 that you liked.

Nice to hear from you Jon.
You are obviously keeping up the road work.

I think I may have just lost the plot, as this morning, I sent off my entry for the London - Edinburgh- London 14ookm randonnee ride next year. I've never ridden further than 250 km before Shocked

I bought a MTB after the C2C but not an Orange, I'll tell you about it when I see you.

Enjoy the Kitching ride.

regards Andy Cool

Hi Andy

Good Luck with London-Edinburgh-London. I think what I'm doing in a couple of weeks is hard enough, the L'Etape du Tour. I will also be hopefully doing the C2C again in October with Gaz 'n' Craz.

See you tomorrow hopefully

Jon

Don't know how you got on with the challange ride as the weather was pretty poor.
Did you get to the C A stand? Perhaps whilst I was having a wander round.
We had a great weekend. Met some super folks, who with any luck will be on next years rides.

All three of us( Gaz, Matt and I) spent the Sat night in my camper van. the wind took quite a few tents out but we were safe and warm in a beer induced coma.
Craz was unable to make it, but we sent him a text to raise his spirits. He will no doubt tell you about it.

Good luck on the Etape, wish I was doing with you.
See you on the C2C

Andy

Unfortunately Andy I didnt get chance to look for the CA stand. Like you said the weather was rubbish. Managed to get the ride in before the worst weatheer hit but I did opt for the 100km. Had a look round the rally for abount an hour but with the ride home still to do I wanted to get back before it p****d it down. I'm not quite sure how I didnt bump into you though.

Jon
