What a fab idea! We'll have to add that to our list of 'things to do to raise money' :)
Craz.

Why not join us for a cycle ride for charity?!

Hi from Jessie's Fund!

Postby LesleyS on Wed Apr 16, 2008 8:21 am

Hi! I'm Lesley, and I run Jessie's Fund. Alan (other half) and me (Jessie's parents) did the Amsterslam last year and it was GREAT despite the rain, so I'm sure we'll all have a fab time. Like last year, we're sharing cycling and driving the support car. No-one will need it, of course, apart from for the bags and spares, but it's there in case.

Thanks in advance for all your fundraising - it's really important to us to raise this money for the kids we work with. Here's another idea: why not turf out all those things clogging up your loft which you don't need anymore and sell them on eBay for us. When you list the item there's a box where you can choose to donate all or a percentage of the buying price to Jessie's Fund. Just send me or Matt a quick email so we can identify it as money for the Amsterslam. info@jessiesfund.org.uk.

Hi all

Just got back from the York CTC rally where we had a stall.
We met Lesley and Jade who are riding Amsterslam and hopefully persuaded a few others to ride with us next year.

I'm getting excited about the Amsterslam now, only 17 days to go.

Come on you other Amsterslamers why not introduce yourselves.

Anybody excited or worried about the trip. Tell us about it. You got questions? We got answers.

Looking forward to meeting everyone

introductions

Postby Pam on Tue Jun 24, 2008 10:17 pm

HI

Im Pam. I can't believe it just 17 days away. I have had a week off training, went to Ascot with a whole load of old midwifery friends, No Matt I didn't miss the opprortunity to get them to sponsor me even though I only see most of them once a year for Ascot, I even pursuaded them to donate half their winnings though that didn't add up to much!!!!

Anyway introductions.

I am 49 (almost 50 ) who said they didnot want to be 40. It gets better not worse in my opinion anyway. I have been a midwife and nurse so we have all things covered re accidents!!! An NHS performance and contract manager now so you can tell I love a challenge!!!! This will be my third ride with charity adventure and they all have been demanding but really enjoyable and make me want to come back for more. My family and folk at work thought I was mad last year doing the C2C but I think they are now resigned to the fact that I have a wish to push myself to places they would not even want to think about and are all keen to support me with their sponsorship of course!

Anyway enough for now looking forward to meeting new and some old friends.
