Does anyne have any advice on doing th pennine trial? I know its not exactally 'hardcore' but going for a distance effort!

Hi Rob.

I've only done sections of the Eastern part (pretty much York to Hull) but none of the other sections (Southport to Barnsley/Leeds).

What advice are you after specifically? It might be useful if you could expand on this a little

I've done warrington to stockport.......

advice really on the trail east of manchester, hills, path condition (width/ruts etc), frequency of the gates, amount of 'on-road', recommended tyres, lights, rest areas
