I’m sorry it’s taken a while to get this organised, but I was waiting on the availability of a celebrity and a suitable venue. Unfortunately the celeb can’t make it so we’ll just crack on without her!!
The pre-event get-together for this event will be held at the Sports Cafe, Leeds on Thursday 14th May from 7pm. This will be a chance to meet some of the other riders taking part in the event and also you’ll get to meet some, if not all, of your ride guides and someone from Marie Curie.
It will be completely informal. We’ll have a little chat about the event, give you the opportunity to ask questions and then we’ll get on with the serious matter of seeing who can’t handle their drink, etc! I’m afraid I won’t be able to reproduce the slight rolling effect of the ferry so you’ll have to improvise in some way
We know that some people won’t be able to make it due to the distances involved between where they live and where the get-together is, and also because it’s not on a weekend. However, it makes much more sense to do this when Leeds isn’t at its busiest. We’ve also taken into account that a lot of people have other plans around the Bank holiday period towards the end of the month. Apologies if you wanted to come but can’t make it.
